The vids give the impression that a yard would smash a car up as soon as it came in, surely it was more likely it would be stacked and left for people to take the useful bits off first?

Got to admire the chap with the shirt and tie on cutting up that metal; certainly wouldn't be allowed today with all the OTT health and safety regulations. And not a single worker with a green hi viz jacket on, now these days even your local postman has to wear some stupid orange hi viz jacket as the uniform, together with shorts; what's that all about?.

Shame that Jag ended up like that, thank goodness for classic car enthusiasm and preservation today. But judging by the amount of classics that are out there being sold these days that look in far worse state than the ones in those videos, it baffles me how some people can have the nerve to ask for silly amounts of money when really they should have ended up where that Jag went. Those abandoned cars on the street today would've been snapped up by some wannabe opportunist seller/restorer hoping someone would be gullible to part with their 10 grand for a half rotten car. I see so many classics (inc prestige sports cars) that in a terrible state (ie rolling chassis, no interior, rusting floors, etc) and they're wanting upwards of 20k.
