I've seen some very nice 959 conversions - Mark and Ritchie King built one of the very first in 1986 or thereabouts and even filled the split rim bolt holes to make it look more authentic.

The body seems OK on this car - but I bet they didn't strengthen the donor car when they hacked the Targa off - and I see it's an E Series car, so that makes it 1972 vintage.

Bit of a bitsa then - the dash looks a little strange for a 1972 vintage car too.

Definitely one to have a look at before bidding...

This looks very much like a car that's about 2 miles away from me. (I'm in Leicester)

If it IS the same one, it's a absolute heap of shite. He tried to burn me off at the lights a few months ago, his car was no quicker than a Golf GTi, and the finishing, well, the finishing needs finishing.

This is about the 5th time its been up on Ebay, have also seen it on Autotrader at various intervals over the last year or so.

Buy yourself a bargepole, then get a 200mile extension on the pole, then move to New Zealand, you *might* just be safe...

Just a tiny bit more than 17k though
