I've got a Samsung TV without a headphone output. The only audio output I can see is an optical output.

Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced converter to use?

If your TV has the facility to adjust the volume level of its audio output, then one of these should be fine. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Portta-Converter-Headphon...

Many TVs have a fixed level optical out so the headphone amp will need to control the volume.

I'm to sure if it is adjustable. I'll check out the manual to see if it says.

Turtle Beach DSS2 does the job and more for headphones.

Edit: Seems to have been discontinued a while back and prices seem to have crept up a lot for the remaining stock as I'm sure I paid no more than £25.
