Looks like I'll be having an engine rebuild, which is an opportunity to do a few upgrades to get some extra horses and torques :-)))

I will need to get the final build fully mapped due to the changes, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to have it run-in and mapped on an engine dyno, and get the all important At-The-Flywheel willy waving figures :-)

Where might I be able to find such a facility ? Engine builder is in Lancashire, but location not that important for the right place.

John Sleath maybe ? Norris Designs ? Mountune ?

Not a cheap affair to dyno an engine.

Headshop UK in Warrington are Aston specialists but build all types and have an engine dyno. I don't know if they test engines that they haven't built but it's worth a call. As Stevie has said though, dyno time ain't cheap!

Engine dyno time will always be expensive. I last spoke to Dave about his Superflow engine dyno when I bought mine in 2015, he had no plans to offer a customer service at that time. We see the engine dyno as good for development rather than customers engines unless they are race ones which have to hit the ground running or the engine cannot come back to us in a car and be rolling road tuned....export for instance.

Mike Parry runs a Superflow dyno http://www.racetechniques.com/dyno.asp.

This place has a really good reputation for mapping http://www.efi-parts.co.uk/northwest-rolling-road....

Thanks Peter. The Sagaris runs an MBE ECU which is encrypted/locked by TVR so only about three people I know of with the 'key' to be able to map it, unless I ditch the current MBE - which is a 25 year old design apparently... or find out that above guys also have the key !

I mapped a Wilder (remember them ??) Sp6 on the engine dyno at ICE at Silverstone .. so if it helps to have a company that is already familiar with the SP6 they might be a good call.

Can you tell me the model number and serial number of the ecu? From that we should be able to find if it is locked but can be tweaked on the maps or locked and the only way would be to wipe it and start again(not good!).

Steve Greenald down at Track and Road in Rainham has an engine dyno as well as the rolling road and will be able to map your ECU
