we tend to use jobserve https://www.jobserve.com/gb/en/Candidate/Home.aspx for Contracts. Don't know if they are as good for Perm.

+1Jobserve, reed.co.uk and cwjobs.co.uk - all for contract jobs but there seems to be a good spread of permie jobs on all those too.
I like the reed site because you can search job title only, and have it show you only "new" jobs.
Prob the best place to include my question:
A second part-time job might be required.
First-line/tier 1 would be great, evenings doing live chat/email/tickets.
I know there are are roles like this over in the States but I've not heard of anything similar in the UK, does anyone have any recommendations?

Again...you can find contract type roles on the likes of jobserve...short term 1st line / helpdesk. You could also look at Jobserve and pick out some of the agencies who tend to recruit for IT contracts... (The Bridge, Spring, LA International, Experis, ECS, Hydrogen....and others) and perhaps contact them, provide your CV, and tell them what sort of short term, gap filling, part time sort of things you could be available. Might be able to fill small needs perhaps not as easy to fill as 3-6 month posts.
Another option are the multitude of sites like guru.com where you can find small freelance projects where you could be a good fit.
