Any Relay Mechs who can offer advice.I have a small amount of coolant passenger side floor, the obvious to me is heater matrix or weep from a hose. How difficult is it to get to either, is it worth trying a tin of radweld .It,s a 2008 low miles diesel.Greatful for all replies

Symptoms do sound right for a leak in the heater matrix or circuit to it. If that's the cause you would probably be able to smell the antifreeze since it has quite a strong smell in enclosed spaces. Alternatively it might be a leak in the windscreen washer plumbing, or just a failed seal letting rain water in.

In my opinion, the only situation where Radweld is a sensible option is when you are stuck away from home with a leak and don't mind clogging up the rest of your cooling system to give you a chance of getting home.

ETA: I'm not a relay mech.

There's no hoses on the inside, it's definitely the matrix. It's not a huge job, I can do one in a couple of hours. Just unbolt the dash, swap the matrix and bolt the dash back in. Budget a full day if you've never done it before.
