Posted here due to the food & drink content.

Just a heads up that JM's new series started yesterday on ITV at 3pm (why that time i dont know)

Done in the style of his hero - Keith Floyd and he even bought Floyds old 2CV to drive around in.

Lots of wine, good food and instructions to the cameraman.

Not as good as I'd hoped, all a bit sameish IMHO.

Yes, though like him, i'd have been a bit peeved to only get two strips off that steak. Wonder what happened to the rest of it.

The wine looked particularily good, always liked St Emilion. Just been looking at prices of the Château Cheval-Blanc. Deffo not one to cook with!

A really nice idea but JM is a bit of a cock and not a patch on the fabulous late Mr Floyd!

DELETED: Comment made by a member who's account has been deleted.
JM was on GMB this morning. Apparently a guy , presumably at one of his cooking stage shows came up on stage to meet him and dropped dead! eek This was while he was still doing Sat Morn Kitchen.

JM said it made him look at life, 5 days off last year, 4 the year before, and he decided to slow down so jacked it in. Can't disagree with that.

Plus he has a new 'Love Interest' wouldn't say anymore, apart from he's happier than he's ever been. Good Luck to him.

Agreed - I watched the first episode last night, I think he's trying to hard to present like floyd with the camera shots etc

It wasn't very good

And I don't get all this new camera angle nonsense..
Especially when his cooking back at his home..
The Hunters Chicken?
I hardly seen inside the pan at any stage..
Sure it's just a casserole but I hope this isnt the start of something crap.

Wow,what a ridiculous dish of cream,cheese,flour,brioche ete,etc ..
And don't forget the butter, more cheese and burnt butter brioche pieces..
I like the guy but not that..
Rather pointless.

Been watching on catch-up and just saw the episode in Lyon. Apart from the cooking which was as would be expected it was interesting to here more about the history of bouchons, I knew what they were but not the detail about silk workers etc.

Shame there was no Msr Bocuse.

he's doing a similar route that Mrs 2CV and I did last August. Was disappointed he didn't visit l'atelier de la truffe in carcassonne because that is a very cool little place and a really accessible way to enjoy truffles... and of course amazing wine.

It's a shame he's an absolute knobhead irl as I used to enjoy his shows. He cracked onto my Mrs when she was working on ships and when he was married. Thinks he's the most important person on the planet. Really glad he didn't get the TG job he seemed to so desperately crave.

No, but he tried it on. Absolute tt to her when she was wearing her uniform but in the evening when she's in an evening dress was giving it large and tried to buy her a drink about 10 times. Apparently a very common occurrence for him as well tbh.

Absolutely not. I know your gimmick is going on and on about stuff but I'm definitely not playing this game.
