Morning.

My SC is due a service since buying it from RPM. By coincidence I just got an email from design911 who now service cars too.
I usually use them for parts, but not aware of the quality of their service or prices.

So has anyone used them yet? I am in Basildon Essex so they would be ideal, distance wise.
Beyond them I hear dsdmotorwerks in Billericay are good, anyone else?

I use HP Motorsport in Hainault who are virtually next to the old Design911 building. I find them pretty reasonable.

Speak to Terry at Autostrasse in Coggeshall, this is their thing. Always had fantastic service on my '85 turbo.

Try Harvey at Colwood Motors in Hornchurch, Harvey use to work at Autostrasse before Ken & Alan pulled out.

Best & straightest service you'll get in my eyes

JAZ are in St. Albans. Not far from you. They've done some excellent work on my 964 and they're a good bunch too.

I've used DSD for my last two services. Not the easiest place to find but Dave knows his Porsche's, air cooled and water cooled, through and through.

DSD is the place to go.

He looks after my 964 turbo and 914-6 (the engine of which he re-built last year).
Last time I was there he was working on a green 2.8 twin plug ST rep, 912 engine re-build, the renovation of a 2.4 targa and '80's 911 turbo!
Only 5 miles from Basildon, its a no brainer!

I've been there twice; both times the car has come back with faults which were not present when I took it in. I won't be going back.

DSD or Harvey would be your best bet. And your nearest. Both guys are great on early kit especially.

Ah. I forgot to mention the courtesy, fault adding service. hehe
