ECU again

What would the shopping list (and to-do list) look like if I were to replace the ECU with an upgraded version (provided there is such thing). Reason being that neither I or anyone else ever got the diagnosis connection to work and I am fed up to a state to just rip that thing out...

What a great coincidence to have a pro nearby Strange thing I have missed these threads completely, so I feel like giving it another try now.

I have just downloaded your software as I read that it should connect easier to the ECU than the standard version. Will definitely take up on your offer and pop by to ask for your support if I don't get it to work myself. Just to warn you though that I am not really into electronics, so be prepared to explain colours t a blind person.

If this could be sorted with a one-hour drive you'll make me a happy man indeed. Will send you a PM with my contact details.

Thanks Juddder. Though I went already through all the pain with different connectors, cables, laptops, settings, even different users. The only thing that is probably worth trying is the COM debugger software mentioned in this thread, so I have registered for a download to test.
