£75k budget - Thinking 997 GTS or Vantage N430 - Help!
Discussion
Morning all,
Downsizing from a 993C4S (now sold) and a 996 TT X50 (with Fearnsport remap)(about to go on sale) due to garage space.
I'm thinking along the lines of
- 997 GTS - good engine - values holding up very well - limited numbers etc - cheaper to run than a turbo
- Vantage - maybe N430 - will they hold some value better than a V8 or V8S
Or anything else people could recommend
This will be a 3-4k miles pa car - no track days - mixture of comfort speed sound - good residuals - nice to look at - not too shouty
Thanks

These would be two options that would hold value very well I would suspect

Porsche Caymen GT4?
Need another £10,000 but many are over the £100,000 mark.

Some interesting choices for you. As someone else said, give the Evora 400 a try (or even a 410). It may not be your thing but its worth a go for the steering feel and poise alone. A used one will have seen some of the depreciation already and they are relatively cheap to run.
On your budge for just a few K miles pa I would go for a Ferrari 430, its a Ferrari and a good one.
Sadly and much to my disappointment I found the Aston a bit underwhelming.
997 GTS is nice, but I am not sure they feel special and in some ways the interior feels a little dated (probably just my subjective view given that newer Porsche offerings have IMO a better look inside), I also wonder if they are a tad overpriced at the moment (that's fine if they hold the value). I was tempted by the GTS a couple of years ago, I should have got one as prices have gone up
What about an R8 V10? Its subjective in terms of whether they have aged well great car though
