i wasn't going to post as it's not really funny, but a post from a mate on facebook i thought was so i will post both. also google tom mabe for his classic cold caller recordings

i had someone one on about ppi and strung them along for about 30 minutes, giving details of fictitious loans and credit cards, i think i owed over a million quid at one point before they twigged.

however the funny one was a mate of mine who had a set of the ambulance chasers on.

he had them going for over an hour with a very detailed telling of his accident etc, how much it cost to fix the car and who's fault it was.

he was quite disappointed to find he couldn't claim for an accident on forza motorsport on his xbox smile

anyone else?

The problem it can cause is that you'll get yourself on a wind up list. Years ago I worked in telesales and we had a few numbers we could call if we wanted a wind up.

I was getting into having fun with the "Department of the Vindows" IT scammers, would string them along for ages then say there is a message and then say "It says fk off lame scammers" or similar, or tell them what I do for work and I am tracking their IP and am uploading a virus etc, been asked if "I thought I was some kind of genius", I replied "No but I am too smart for this half arsed scam".

Got BT phones with the call blocking stuff, not had one since or any other type of scam, they have to identify themselves to get through and they arent keen to do that.

I enjoyed it for a while but I pay for that phone for my convenience, not so people can flog me stuff or try to steal off me, so nice not to get them calling now.
