Afternoon PH

I'm thinking about applying for consent to let my flat with my current lender, Nationwide. Has anyone done this?

I was wondering how to boost my chances of success, as changing over to a buy to let doesn't seem possible, as I don't have the 25% to put down, or in the property itself.

Any tips regarding this welcome

Cheers

My daughter is with nationwide and they did it for her when work took her abroad.

That's good to hear. I'm looking to get a second mortgage though, as I can't see the point in selling my place as there isn't much equity to take out of it for a start, and we need a bigger place, especially as we will be accommodating my wife's grandad (in a granny annex), so could do with more rooms and a decent size garden (for said annex).

Would saying all this help or hinder our chances of success do you reckon?
