Has anybody had any problems with the new Speedo being completely wild and random like one second its 75 the next it's 14 then 30 then back to 74 its really distracting. The rev counter is by far and away more steady and reads as you would expect.
Also has anybody found a fix for the large amount of cold draft that comes up through the seat belt slot. We have just completed two 175 mile trips but had to wedge a jumper between the seat and the belt slot to stop the draft. Its the only thing on the car my wife has complained about.
How to fix the CD player from over heating on a long drive it looks 1.5 hours is the max it can be used for before packing up and allowed to cool for a long time (not driving Time) the actual CD's gets very hot to touch. the radio surround plus the pod is also hot. I wonder what it will be like when the summer arrives roof of does not help.
cheers

Big Al.

Well can't answer all of your questions if any at all.
But my MK1 Speedo seems to be doing exactly as you describe, Never done 170 in a 30 limit before.

Was told by Brian at Fernies "They all do that sir" well not all, but yours certainly is.

It'll have to come out and go back for sorting about a week, said he Get new Sat Nav fitted during the same week!

Hi Dave
My speedo was the same at first and worse when stuck in traffic. I was advised that the sensor can sometimes be too close to exhaust and prone to becoming too hot thus throwing the readings out. Mine was adjusted at 1st service and is not too bad now though it has its moments.

Must say my old Tusc was draughty but no problem with the new one.

Cant advise on the CD player as I havent experienced this prob. Mine has so far been ok even on long runs. Will look out for it though.

Draught - no probs.

CD - no probs.

Speedo - sounds like the old transducer problem rearing its ugly head again. I had 3 on my first tusc. They are apparently up to the MK 5 transducer now and one would have hoped it would have been fixed! Mine's fine so far but I've only done 300 miles.

speedo didnt read anything over 70mph straight out of the factory (well M55)

had it changed by power-tvr 2 days later to the new uprated spec one (came to my work car park, very good service)

4 months old now and last week started doing exactly what you describe, so much for the upgrade

That's a Mk1 "feature" too.

Jumper route seems easiest!

Handing to dealer and saying please fix under warranty seems the best fix!

Never had any draughts around the seat belts ni my car (had one from the foot well but dealer fixed it at 1k service)

Had the same speedo-problem from the beginning on my MK2.
Apart from the fact that the factory fixed two wrong mirrors, i.e. mirrors for a RHD while mine is a LHD one, no other niggles.

May be one more, the alarm/immobiliser system works uncertain or I don’t use it correctly!
Sometimes it’s activated leaving the car unlocked with windows closed and the doors open when I push the button? Yes, Yes, ….
