Hi

Last Friday I entered a 2 Lane roundabout on the inside to exit right
(As I'm supposed to)
In the middle of the roundabout the lorry on the outside swung across and pinned me between the roundabout and his lorry.

As a result it's going through the liability services.
As I'm Now having to declare this it has pushed my insurance up enough where I can't afford it.

So I'm looking for a cheaper to own replacement.
That's where I'd like your help.

Il be honest I'm ignorant and a bit self centred so ideally I'd like something prestige 2011 onward. As I worked my ass off to get a decent job and to afford a nice car was always the goal.

I'm 22.
2 accidents now.
Non fault - July last year idiot reversed out of a space into the side of my car as I was driving behind. He admitted liability.

Now this one which is unsettled.

The m135i I feel is to quick to enjoy.
Put your foot down for a second and boom doing 60 in a 30.

So I'm kinda looking for something 0_60 in 6/7 seconds.
Also I like a nice interior too I owned a c350 coupe my lord the interior was amazing.

I have looked at focus st but can't get a quote?
Not prestige I know was a random shout.

Of you can suggest anything it would be appreciated

Thank you

2014 onwards Mini Cooper S? Can pick up a well specced one with Harman Kardon, Idrive, leather etc. Quite a few around at your budget sub 20k miles.

Comes with the 2.0 turbo from BMW.

Sticking with BMW, 330i? should manage a tidy one with your budget.

Merc E250 Coupe as well, shift nicely with a mild map.

Edit: Just re-read the part about your c350, E350 worth a shout.

I think he is referring to the inside lane meaning the right lane - or one on the inside if you draw concentric circles... smile

I think he hadn't read rule 187 of the highway code smile

long vehicles (including those towing trailers). These might have to take a different course or straddle lanes either approaching or on the roundabout because of their length. Watch out for their signals.
not quite sure what liability services are though...

Sorry but what did you expect the lorry to do where was he going to go mid roundabout jump out the way of your 135?

Will be very hard to find something low insurance at 22 yrs that feels nice after using a lovely 135.
What about Gt86 Mx5 or last of MR2 mk3 2006 model.

Another vote for a Fiesta ST, as quick as the focus in real life and cheaper to insure and run. Does fall foul of the prestige factor somewhat.

He probably assumed the lorry would remain within the confines of his own lane and/or look before crossing in to another lane.

Obviously.

That's the issue with assumptions, I'd never assume a lorry will stay between the lines whilst on a roundabout, best give them a bit of room just in case.

MK7 GTI come into budget?

Stretch towards a Focus RS mk2 and your money will sit safe.

Audi S3 will tick the boxes. A nice black edition with a couple of options will be in budget and quick but easy to put the power down no matter what the weather.

Should be an array of Audi A5s in that price bracket which fit your requirements.

That shut-line between the front bumper/nearside wing/bonnet looks huge, are they all like that?

Otherwise, I quite like these, I had no idea they did a 270bhp version.
