There's a snobby neighbour who lives near me - who talks before he thinks. This evening he went off on one complaining about me driving my TVR at maximum decibels in the early hours of the morning, thereby interfering with his, and his family's, sleep. And waking up his dog!

It's not the first time he gets into top (mouthing) gear and won't let someone get a word in edgeways. Finally, after a five minute rant I politely let him calm down and simply said, "will you allow me to reply?" I then went on to explain that I hadn't even driven the TVR since Saturday and since he was complaining about Monday and Tuesday mornings it obviously wasn't me.

His reply "well anyway, why do you need such a loud car?"

I simply laughed!

1: buy a huge engine from a tank.

2: park the tvr outside his house in plain view.

3:rev the engine from the tank all night. through his letterbox. ensuring said tvr remains in site throughout.

4: repeat until he moves or goes insane.

My reply; " Taxed, insured, MOT'd and exhaust within the noise levels allowable under the construction and use regulations. Now; Fck OFF!"
