Doing some stuff ignoring the TV and the one show was on after the news. Amy McDonald played a new song - Dream On, seems to be her new single. Certainly made me look up when it started... and some familiar stuff throughout. Whaddya think?

How could you tell? The sound production was terrible. Could hardly hear her.

Not being able to hear her isn't a massively bad thing, she seems to be a pub tribute act copy of Dolores O'Riordan. I'm sure its purely coincidence that the entire backing track is identical to Boys of Summer

I can see how there may be a bit of whooshiness, but I meant the whole thing sounded a mess.

I'm quick to criticise crap artists, but I think she's OK. She can sing, can write, and has knocked-out some catchy songs. I quite like her.

Thats a bit strong. If you don't like her records then don't buy them. Looks like she's sold over 9 million of them so she is doing something right.

Think she had been through 3 R8's from what I recall of the Top Gear interview, the V8, V10 and RS. She knew a fair bit about the differences on the 3 models, so think she is quite into cars. I like her music too myself :-)

Anyway, back on topic. I don't think her song bears a particularly stark resemblance to "Boys of Summer". The chorus from "Breakthrough" by Queen does though. Try that back-to-back with "Boys of Summer"!
