Great comedian and his tache was rather amusing. However they have sort of gone out of style since the mid 1930's and wondered if anyone has one?

I'm sort of thinking I might go for it, but wonder what the reaction would be like nowadays?

Whenever I haven't shaved for a week or so (most weeks) and I shave, I always do the L Hardy tache for my wife. She just loves me looking like that. Though I do look more like him in the pic where he'd lost a bit of weight.

I don;t know what Charlie Chaplin did to make his moustache unpopular but it must have been big.

I have recently started doing a "negative hitler" moustache mind, just sort of removing the Hardy tache and leaving the rest, to even out the good and bad forces in the world. Again, it only lasts minutes before a full removal is demanded. Kids love it though (my kids).

See, the hidden side of Britain, men who like the look but who are afraid to wear it in public. I guess this is not coming out of the closet, more coming out of the grooming parlour.

Someone needs to wear one for a week in public and note the publics reaction.

It would be a very interesting social historic experiment on peoples historic conceptions.

To be fair, you wouldn't look any more of a bell than those people who seem to think growing a tramp-style beard is the height of cool.

ETA: this sort of thing, I mean...

Comedian Richard Herring sported one for a while.

Guardian link gives a small insight

I don't know. I just googled 'tramp style beard', or something like that, and it was one of the results.
