Noticed an intermittent noise this weekend coming from the clutch pedal of my Chimaera which I can only describe as a 'click' when the pedal is released after changing gear. Any ideas?

Noticed a noise from my clutch pedal recently but it seems to sound like a spring being extended then released.

theres a pin which holds the pedal to the clutch master cylinder(get a touch and look in your footwell up the pedal you will see it).If you remove it you will find that it has heavy wear lines in it(cause of click).just replace and grease.

P7 ULG - I got that too, creaking, i'd call it. Annoying in town, can't hear it at anything over 30mph. Anyone got a quick fix?

Could be the springs in the clutch creaking with old age. The quick fix if this is the problem is a new clutch.

The springs that I am referring to are in the clutch plate.
I'd like to see that done on a closed bell housing!
I very much doubt it is done and I am not sure that lubrication and clutch plates go together too well. Too much and it contaminates the plate pretty quickly.
Access is no fun even with the T5 inspection hatch.

My clutch pedal used to click, but only after I took a hard right hander. Then the first time I pressed the clutch it clicked.. it was fine every other time... I had it in the dealer twice and they said it was fine. On the last service I got it checked again, it turned out that the clutch pedal was wearing as it sat on the pedal box. This resulted in a brand new box of pedals being fitted - a big job apparently as the steering column has to come out. Basically it's fixed now - but as a result of a £400 bill....
