Can anyone recommend a specialist welding co who might be able to repair my head? It seems to have a number of holes in the mounting surface to a max of 4mm and about 10mm across.
It'll need repairing, crack testing and skimming.
Thanks

Personally I'd take advice from my local cylinder head/engine repair shop, although as ever it pays to find one that comes recommended by someone you trust. As you're in Wiltshire I'm afraid I can't recommend anyone local.

Ask Pete S-H, David - I would be very surprised if he cannot recommend someone.

Thanks Simon, it's going to South Cerney engineering this week for their opinion but I'm not hopeful.
Trying to find out for certain the difference between 1R and 2R casting numbers.

This is the sort of nerdy thing that I might know, but don't. Had you tried Jon Mitchell?
