Nothing wrong with LHD, I prefer it due to the better seating position (for me anyway). Neither is there anything wrong with it being a Japanese import, if anything the body will be in better condition than most of the same vintage.

And that's precisely the reason I would buy it !! The RHD 964's driving position stinks, LHD feels so "right" and all the more "special" for it smile

I agree with slippy and signal .... LHD all day long. I would always choose LHD air cooled over Rhd and would ( have ) pay more for it too.

I specifically went to Germany for my 964 as It had to be LHD.

My 2.4S is LHD too.

Had rhd in the past but just can't get on with the driving position, made even worse by sports seats

Shank's pony and one of Bavarian Motor Werks finest oil burners, but I've got a lovely pile of bricks, mortar and scaffolding being formed into a something you can actually live in apparently. Doesn't sound a whole bundle of fun to me, but I'm always willing to give new, novel stuff a try. smile

Absolute rubbish - if that was my garage there is no way the second pile in from the left would look like that - that irregular fold on the light blue cloth is making me itch ! Also my wheels are titanium & I've seen pictures of your garage before - nowhere near as tidy as that - last photo I saw : it looked like a st pit - made my teenagers bedroom look presentable & that's saying something ! smile

I went to see and drive this car last year with the firm intention to buy it..

Jap car indeed. Sketchy history.

Much better in pics than real life.

Odo says 43k miles, my guts told me x4 this minimum.

Interior needs works, paint needs work, and that was before inspecting the mechanicals.

If it was as good as the pics say, it would be in my garage.

How very dare you !! I'll have you know it's a man cave featuring the latest in hi-tech vehicle elevation technology ....

hehe

(Edit to add) 'Spose you think us Hoi Polloi are beneath you because you've got a roof on your car port AND a Porsche badge (nice touch by the way) smokin Could you send me the 300 page user manual/instruction booklet for the hammer you used ?

P.S I'm only jealous, I haven't got a car, let alone a port to put it in.

Yep - that was the photo I was referring to - it has a slightly different "look & feel" to the one you posted earlier - It's a bit more , how shall I put it - real !

Re the sign - I'm afraid I can't send you the manual - I tried to put the sign up but the bluetak wasn't much better than the chewing gum and as such I know my limitations and got a professional in to do it - best £500 I've ever spent smile

And there in lies the problem with 90% of 964 C2 for sale at the mo... better off buying a genuine UK supplied car thats been properly maintained whether that be very high or low miles. The Dermot Wallace car with 200k miles would be my pick if I was looking for one today but wouldn't spend more than 30k on it. Looks perfect for a restomod to something like this.
