Woss your problem, dood? (Assuming you mean the product that used to be called BoKS, then RSA used to sell as "Keon" and sold back to TFS who sell it as "Unix Protector" or somesuch. RSA used to sell a whole bunch of stuff under the "Keon" brand.)

How does it cope with compression… seems that it doesn't like securing compressed files… so wondering about the effects of compressing a Keon encrypted file during the backup process...

Sorry, can't help. We're using it to implement Role Based Access Control on Unix, so I'm afraid I know nada about protecting individual files. Sorry.

Tell your backup system not to bother compressing the encrypted files... if the encryption's worth anything at all the encrypted files will be incompressible anyway.
