rear brake question
Discussion
when I come off the track after a couple of hard laps the rear brakes "knock" - like donk donk donk etc. they work fine I am just not happy with the noise. the rears are standard griff 500 calipers.
what causes that - it didn't use to happen until I changed the pads. is the spring clip that fits to the caliper the issue? I did nothing to that when I fitted the new pads and don't want to force the clip out to take a look.
oh the rear disks are not warped - they are fine when cold. I do have a brake bias value which is set to put slightly more pressure to the rear as I have larger front disks but that has been on the car for 5 years and the clonking only started last season.
