got a cheap class pass deal so have/will been trying out various gym/spin classes around me to break up the boredom of turbo. some have been great fun but....

tonight went to "athlete lab" . basically a huge row of fixed turbos, fans, and a fk off screen with data. instructor chucks on a training plan for 45 mins and that's about it.

checked how much people normally pay for this, £30 a session or £129pm! are people mental! what morons pay £30 for a 45 min trainer road turbo session?!

To be fair some people need the motivation of going to a class or a public session, and there's an argument to say if you're paying for it, you put in more effort compared to training at home in your garage. We are social animals, we like the company of others.

A mate of mine uses AL often, works fairly long hours, and probably easier than maybe having a turbo in a small flat at home?

i went again tonight, starting to see the attraction for those who can't turbo at home for some reason.

not sure i would pay for it, but it's a good set up. however i rather like someone shouting at me for motivation/distraction

I go to a spin class which is a fiver for 45m, seems reasonable to me. £30 though, wow.
