I've used it - I figured it couldn't hurt. I've used it both ways - a small squirt in each cylinder and then turning the engine over to remove carbon and gum - as well as adding it to the fuel in the tank. My 4.3 is currently laid up (has been for nearly 6 months) and I will use it again both ways prior to/shortly after firing up.
Last time I used this stuff was way back in time, I squirted a whole load straight down in the carbs on my Vauxhall Cresta. Then went out for a drive up the steep hill I used to live on. Strewth, it made the ole girl smoke, so much so you could'nt see a bloody thing behind me. Pure white smoke just like a genuine thick fog, drivers behind not to happy
