ECU CODE READER

I recently borrowed an ECU code reader for my 1993 4.3 Chim. What a brilliant bit of kit. Came up with code 45 (Offside Lambda sensor out of range), when I connected it to the ECU. Will get a new sensor in due course. But for now I would like to get my own ECU code resder. Do you guys & girls out there know where I can get one, and how much they cost?

from memory they were about £120-150 i think

You used to be able to read the Ford ecu codes on my old S3 using just a 12v light bulb on the diagnostic socket and counting the short/long flashes in morse code fashion. Not sure if there is a similar facility on the landrover ecu.

Halfords carry a range of cheap ECU fault code readers.
You will need to check which one is compatible.
