Tragic news; as a racer myself, it does bring it home to you. My sincerest condolences to friends and family.

Is it known publically who was involved or how it happened at this stage?

As a Lincoln resident I can say that no firm details have been released to the local paper, the Lincolnshire Echo, although it has made Monday's front page. I find it hard to understand the exact circumstances of the incident from the reports, but I'm sure it will become clear in due course. There but for the grace......

It's tragic when what is supposed to be great fun takes a nasty turn.

This was a sad day indeed. I was at Cadwell and saw the incident unfold.

The details aren't known yet, Bizzony, but I'll drop you a line. I was at the left hander leading onto The Mountain so my line of sight was a little impaired, which, all things considered, probably wasn't a bad thing.

The people I went to see race were friends of one of the drivers and he will be sorely missed by all those involved in club motorsport.
