I thought having one of these on hand maybe of use in the garage. Loads of cheap ones from £8 upwards, but I take it these are utter junk, or are they decent enough for the home gamer who'll use it a couple of times a year ? Anyone know of any accuracy tests with using these or recommend a decent branded one ?
Thanks

I bought a £10 from eBay. Used it for frying pan and brake discs. Seemed ok to me.

Cheapo one here too.

I had it to balance the central heating now wouldn't be without it, homebrew, car, dog, wife, garden, fridge, freezer, it's fine. Practice a bit with surfaces, angles, distance etc to get repeatable results.

Remarkable the stuff you can get very cheaply these days.
