Importing gym equipment from the US - advice required

Looking at bringing in some pieces from the US and was wondering if there are any companies that provide a door-to-door service that is cost-effective?

Ideally, would like to buy enough to fill a container but I wouldn't be able to get all the pieces together at once so storage in the US would be an issue.

Pieces that I am looking to purchase aren't available in Europe hence the reason for purchasing from the US.

Any advice is welcome.

Look at getting it delivered to a storage unit in the USA, some places for a fee will accept deliveries for you. You'll have to factor in a visit to get things rolling though

Suggest you contact Ron at STS Imports - http://www.stsimports.co.uk/. They have a facility near Miami where they can consolidate your internal US deliveries, then ship on as a full or shared load to the UK. I use them for race parts and the service is excellent.

I can do this. I work for CH Robinson and we are the largest freight forwarder in the US, honestly, we are number 1!

We have facilities in LA, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, New York, and Chicago where this is regular and normal business for us, taking in and storing and then building either FCL or LCL containers.

We run and handle our own LCL consol boxes from various locations and sail into Liverpool or Southampton where we breakdown the containers and then deliver out.

We also have 5 locations in the UK and are a fully licensed and registered customs broker.

I would be very surprised if this is not something that we can easily handle for you and as an added bonus, probably more competitive than others....but it's not just about the cost....pay peanuts and get chimps.
