Burning smell rear of 997.2 C2S

I've noticed a burning rubber smell coming from the right rear tyre area and some heat too.
It's the kind of smell you'd expect at the rear after driving like a boy racer, lots of sharp braking and acceleration.
However I got this after a leisurely 2 mile drive on a cold day, smell hits you when you get out of the car. Even after being parked half an hour the smell was still there.
It's only coming from one tyre area, the right rear. Not sure if it's brakes, tyre, both or something completely different like exhaust or (shudder) engine. I'd be freaking right now if it was a gen 1 (IMS, RMS, bore score) but I did see Hartech's recent post about gen 2 engine failures!

On these cars the exhaust silencers are located in the wheel wells directly behind the rear wheels. Any road debris irun over is thrown onto the silencers and has to either cook slowly or burn off , depending on the exhaust heat at the time. This can give off burning aroma coming from the rear of the car....this may be all that's happening and not much to worry about. Ian
Thanks guys. Maybe important to add that it's been happening for weeks now (sorry if my first post wasn't clear). I did the short journey to test t out and see if it happened on that too.
It's very odd as my 997.1 only ever did it when I drove it aggressively but then t would be both rear tyres not the one.

Good spot Magic, however dealership cannot smell anything nor find an underlying cause, despite their collection driver smelling it and agreeing this was not normal. How a problem that was there for 4 weeks has miraculously disappeared is beyond me therefore wanted to see others' experience.
