Noticed this a fair bit recently - most frequently at the school drop off..

Women - riding style jodhpurs, brig trainers, Baseball cap

Blokes - Lycra leggings, shots over the top, some sort of sports t shirt or hoodie and the obligatory beanie hat.

I must add it's no council estate school either - quite a well to do, affluent type of parent.

I've said a few times during chit chat 'oh are you going to the gym this morning..' only to be told no; maybe shopping etc.

At 43 I'm getting on a bit and out of touch with the younger fashion but wondered what all this st was - some sort of new gym wear trend/style?

I have a one piece Lycra cycling suit. It's one size too small and I'm one size too big. It's really not a pretty sight, as my back hair pokes through like a hedgehog's spines.

Yesterday, two guys in front of me climbing steps to board aircraft from KL to Penang.

Baggy shorts, thick Lycra leggings, big chunky trainers, baggy tops.

I was thinking is this a practical outfit for flying (no they weren't the pilots...)?

Didn't realise it was the new fashion!

In general, wearing sportswear when not doing sport/exercise marks you out as a bit of an idiot...in my opinion.

Beautiful piece of poetry.

Maybe set it to music?

We always knew which were our 'good' trousers; they were the ones without the patches.
Ripped jeans / trousers reflected poorly on ones mother.

Loving the ripped jeans fashion here.

The usual cycle is
1.Best
2. Good
3. Domestic work/car washing
4. Working on car/gardening
5. bin

Now , when after 4 they get a hole in the knees,
4b. Best ( again)
