E63 Oil Consumption

After some opinions here and experiences of other owners, my 2013 E63 is going through about 1 litre of oil ever 3500 miles or so, alerts me on the dash to add a litre.

Now my question is to fellow owners, is this normal and what others are experiencing?

Doesnt seem too bad for a 6.3 litre, high performance V8, I did read that they do consume oil, I have an M273 5.5 and it barely moves on the dipstick but I dont do many miles, 1 litre per 3500 wouldnt concern me unduly, not a lot you can do really anyway.

Sorry should have said that it is the 5.5 not the 6.2.

Common on the M157 engine and nothing to worry about, although when mine pops up with "Add 1 litre" it only gets half, which seems to put it back to where it should be on the dipstick.

I have a 2013 5.5 Biturbo E63 and agree 1 litre per 3,500 ish miles is probably the same as mine.
I tend to keep 2 litres of Mobil 1 at home - 1 for the Cayman and 1 for the Merc!
