Having successfully removed (and shortened) the trumpets from the plenum base. How to 'glue' them back?

+1 for 648. I used it in 2013 and still stuck fast. Silicone lasted a few months in comparison.

I have a few unopened bottles too...

What size bottle, price and can you include it with the alternator adjuster?

I think I used Araldite back in about 2003, only needed a smear as the trumpets were a sliding fit anyway. It's not as though they can go far if they do come loose.

I don't think Araldite would be that good as it gets a bit soft when hot.

Stewart the bottle is enough for all 8 but they are a bit old so they might have gone off, I'll stick one in (should be in the post tomorrow) I only want a quid each 'cos I got a job lot, but don't pay until you use it and it's OK, in case it's gone hard.

Just wondered if you've got around to using the glue - it appeared to be OK (it poured into the sealed nozzle and back into the bottle).

According to the data sheet it takes around 24h to cure depending on thickness, but at current garage temperatures it could be up to 3 days....
