718 iPod and PCM

Anybody with a 718 got a Classic iPod working?

I have a 5th Gen iPod that worked fine in my 981 Cayman but will not connect in the 718, I just the software updated today and still no joy.....the iPod displays the Porsche Crest and the Tick but the PCM says Source Not Supported

Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried 2 cables and both the same (although not 100% sure they are genuine apple cables)

First thing is to get a proper cable and try it. Had this issue on a number of customer cars (not 718 but 991 etc) and it generally is cable - tends to be these cheaper ebay cables that throw this message. It doesn't have to be an apple cable, just a good copy.

My classic works fine on my 66my Cayenne so it should work for you
