I've been looking without any success, my dad had a streched 1972 Mercedes estate normal height i.e. Not a hearse!! He owned it circa 1985ish It was white with a black vinyl roof. Just curious as I can't find any info/pictures on it any got any info much appreciated.

It would be a special conversion: MB didn't do a factory T-model until 1976 with the s123.

In the UK Crayford did some. On the continent Binz were the leaders but there were many others.

This is a typical Crayford job.

I've never seen a civilian Binz conversion based on the W114 , In the UK it was almost certainly Crayford who did the conversion. Binz however did convert Fintails and even the odd W126. Crayford did a handsome job of the W116, depending on where you check either 19 or 22 built.

Just googled Crayford Mercedes and this is pretty much what It looked like I rember the extra row of seats but the roof doesn't have the vinyl covering
