Correct Gaz Gold settings
Discussion
Hi All.
The old rear Bilstein shocks on my 96' Chim 400 were knackered when I got the car so I replaced them with Gaz Gold adjustable coilovers. The front suspension is working nicely so I don't see the point in changing them for now.
When the car's back on the road in April I plan to take it out on track and it would be great to have it handling properly, or at least nicely. This is the first Chim I've driven or owned so I don't know what a correctly set-up Chim is supposed to feel like which is a little frustrating.
Can anyone advise the best setting to use for fast road/track driving? I think I've currently got them set to 8 from full soft (the car is with a relative at the moment)
I'm getting the ride height and geom professionally readjusted before it goes back on the road so this is really the finishing touch.
Ta!

I'm guessing it's all down to personal taste and your style of driving so you're probably better off using someone elses settings as a base to work from rather than just copying.. I set mine up at the front as stiff as I could handle without it being annoying. The rears I started off as soft and then wound them up until it started skipping over the bumps, then turned them back a couple of clicks. I only fall off of the track on half of my laps now

I often used to go as much as 4 click different but not often.
