Having Driven the Griff in the dark lately I have come to the conclusion that the lights are pants.

I upgraded the lights on the S3 quite a lot and would like to do the same for the Griff. What is available? Manily I would like to keep the looks the same (so no Grp work) but maybe better bulbs or light units?

What are they? I assume they're not H4s, and how the hell do I get at them?

You will get all the access info you want in the 'bible', then contact David at Mod-wise for the lights modification kit.
He will also supply the 4 x silver vision bulbs if required which should be H1s (they are on my 97 Griff).

The bulbs are indeed H1, so you can get better bulbs from most places. Phillips are reckoned to be good. Also as has been said get hold of the wiring upgrade kit from David Beer who runs www.mod-wise.com (web site seems down at the moment). This takes the live feed directly from the alternator, via a relay and ensures the bulbs get full current. It only takes about 30 mins to fit and is well worth it. Rich...

Chris
I have seen some modified lights on the griff which are a two light system, so minor grp work maybe required, but still maintain the looks of the original by maintaining the original light covering.

Just a thaught.
