Sell by date

Hi all just found in fridge a vacuum pack of what looks like hotdogs from one of those European shops. Says beef on the package with a picture of a cow. Ingredients say 3% beef 66% chicken best before date 8-2-17. Couldn't see a sell by date. Will they kill me or ok. Many thanks
