I suspect you have no chance of getting it for free or even a discount. Regardless of what you were eating when it happened 7 months is quite a long time especially when you think that a front tooth bears the brunt of anything going in your mouth.

But I guess it won't hurt to ask (after your treatment though; I wouldn't query anything beforehand otherwise I'd fear a less than good job.)

My OH had a temporary cap fitted with a permanent one to be fitted 2 weeks after. The temporary one lasted about 2 hours before falling out. So she had to go back again to get the temporary one re-fitted. She did get a discount on the basis of the inconvenience suffered but getting this was like pulling teeth (sorry!).

I certainly would not have charged you to replace it after such a short period.
