Running costs 993 4S
Discussion
993 C4S should cost you no more to run than any other naturally aspirated 993 - except when it come to tyres....
I tried Pirellis and Contis on mine, and the rears would last about 6000 miles and the fronts lasted about 12000 miles.
So for 22,000 miles in 10 months i spent almost £2000 in rubber (all four in Sept, rear pair in Jan, all four in May). Yeouch.
Worth it though. :-)
As for regular servicing, it's cheap as chips. £250 every 12k miles and £400 every 24k miles. At 72k miles you can expect maybe £500, and a clutch is £1000 (some people say 993 clutches last 30k to 50k miles, but my first lasted 80k miles).
Hope this helps.

I agree with all of points made by VS, but without any shadow of a doubt the most expensive part of 993 C4S ownership is the acquisition cost which is quite disproportionate and can cross over into turbo territory.
Its very much a heart led decision to spend the extra money over a narrow body, but one I have never regretted.

thanks guys for the info...so you reckon a 993 4s is not much more expensive than a normal 993...is a 996 expensive to run?
yes the car is not cheap to buy, indead...and you can have almost a turbo for that money...but is the normal aspirated sound in a turbo body not a beautifull combination?:-) And a 4S keeps its value...
