Thinking about squeezing in a 2wd / Manual / Bucket Seat GTS for the summer before a hopeful GT3 allocation for later 17 early 18. What's the views on rear seat delete ?

I'm doing the same, C2, but not sure on manual v PDK. The 7 speed manual gearbox hasn't had much positive said about it....

RWS a must for me - makes a big difference in the car's agility

Bucket seats a good option though, considering it myself. Rear seat delete less so, takes away the car's added practicality which I want to keep. Also, the weight loss is minimal - I'd guess around 20Kg....? Not much in a 1500Kg car

If you've got folding buckets why do a rear seat delete?

It's not a GT3, weight loss is negligible plus you lose practicality.

Some GT3 comfort owners added rear seats back in to make them more usable.

I'd keep them or get a GT3.

Really just to be different .... no other reason . That's why I'm asking really . Completely agree it doesn't make any real sense . Won't feel the weight loss , so it's purely about having an unusual Spec . ( Personnally I'd never need rear seats - Rarely need 2 ! ) , but if it's resale suicide I'll not bother .

It will be replaced by a GT3 later in the year , just need something for this summer and already tried all previous GT3 generations , GT4 and Spyder so just looking for something interesting to tide me over ....

You would probably narrow your selling market. If you want to delete them, why not remove them yourself and add them back when you sell.

You'll definitely narrow options come sale time. Think I've seen one 997 GTS advertised with the rear seat delete and never a 991.

There was a 991GTS at an OPC that was for sale with rear seat delete. It sat there for a few months despite a fairly attractive price compared to its rear seated competition. I would say that deleting them wouldn't be a great idea if your selling on in 6 months..
