05 / 06 Audi A6 Avant 2.0 TFSi - any pointers?

Afternoon,
Saturday car hunting has thrown up an 05 plate Audi A6 Avant S-Line, 170,000 miles, FWD and armed with the 2.0 TFSi engine and the manual box.
Being a hardened Volvo man, oddly I'm quite drawn to this as it's fairly reasonably priced (I think!) and seems to tick many boxes for me so have set about some internet research on these things but just wondered if anybody on here has or has owned a similar machine and could give any real world pointers?
Anything to be aware of aside for the usual front suspension knocks and tyre wear issues, which would seem to be quite common but anything to look for an any thoughts on what these are like to live with - reasonable performance for the power, acceptable MPG and general running costs?
I know diesel would be the well worn path to go down but I do 3 miles a day and so the added complexity of (any) diesel and the slightly higher purchase prices don't warrant a need for one... that and my current Volvo T5 can still pull 35mpg out the bag on a steady run so I'd hope a TFSi could muster similar?
