Golf GTI Mk4 - Upgrade it?

We've had a (51 plate)Golf GTI Mk4 1.8T for circa 10 years, which is now on 80k miles. It always starts, runs and is a great little car. It's had all the servicing inc belts done, wheels refurbished (18 months ago) and new tyres last year.
We got a new to us Golf GII Mk5 (which the wife uses) and the Mk4 was due to go, but I'm loathed to sell it so little and use it as a local runabout) and my other option is to upgrade it (it's an AUM engined car).
- Remap 150bhp to circa 210bhp (R-tech)
- Forge 008 DV
- KW V1 or B14 coilovers
- Front/Rear Arbs
Anyone done a similar mods and was the result worth it?
