Cadwell Tragedy
Discussion
It goes without saying that this is a very tragic event and my deepest sympathies go out to all involved.
However, I am concerned at the BBC reporting (nothing new) why stress "amateur" race? Does that affect the seriousness? Aren't maybe 90% of all races "amateur" by definition?
Any thoughts?

Mmm, think it is strange too. Deepest sympathies to all involved. But it does strike me as a little unusual that they should stress "amateur". You are right, almost all of the racing that occurs on a regular basis is amateur and.... in fact even some of the more popular racing series still have drivers with "real" jobs.....
Trying to make a story out of a tragedy? Surely not the BBC - they wouldnt stoop that low would they?
Cheers,
Paul
