Brunters is famed for being very bad for accumulating stone chips - how did the attendees find it - good/bad/pebbledashed?

The VMax format naturally tends to reduce stonechip exposure.

Very gritty surface, though, so I'm sure one would be sandblasted on a "normal" trackday...

Not a problem at all, just keep a decent distance from the car in front - which at VMAX is no big deal as the cars are spaced a good 1/2 a mile apart!

I can imagine thoguh if you were doing a normal trackday there it could be a lot worse as there is a fair amount of grit about.

Picked up a few, now considering repairing them. One slightly smaller than a pea lowdown.

I did hear one hit from a car running next to me on the straight which must have been a good 25m away yet still managed to hit me.

the first time I went there my 348 looked like it had been pebbledashed which is why I've always tried to make sure that at vmax all cars are well apart & as such we havent had any issues that I am aware of.

Cost me a front foglight. Stone went through it. Too close to a spinning T350C...you know who you are

Can't comment on Vmax but I did a trackday on the top track in my 996 and despite hearing alot of grit under the car came away with one small chip on one wing and a similar chip on the windsceen. Did another trackday there about a month later on the main track (2nd half of runway and back up by the plane) and the front of my Porkah was destroyed. Thinking of doing a trackday there next month in the 355 but need to find a company who does these stone chip protection kits or borrow one of those hideous "car bras" from somewhere. Any ideas guys?

I did a track evening there and needed a front end respray caused by cars in front. My cills were also pretty chipped afterwards which I can only presume was from my own wheels

Hazy, the people who made the vmax numberplate stickers aer working on a temporary film for trackdays, wouldnt look like a major pro fit but much cheaper 7 peel off at the end of the day.

Craig, this sounds ideal. Don't really like the idea of permanent protection because when alls said and done I think in time you will be able to see it. Something non permanent is perfect, because I don't really care what the car looks like on the track, just don't want it pebbledashed at the end of it!! Was thinking about covering the front of the 355 with duct tape for Brunters on 9th April. And the mirrors. and the bonnet. And the sills.

You get the picture.....

Do you have a contact name and number for this firm Craig??? Many thanks mate.
