HELP! 2.8V6 Expansion tank
Discussion
Expansion tank being the overflow tank? (The plastic one)? If so I believe this is a Rover part.
If you mean the swirl pot or swan neck (the metal one) then the elusive container of S parts springs to mind?? as do Tower View & David Gerald?
Worth ringing around.
What happened to old one? Can it be repaired?

Lads! I've spoken to my techy friend and it's the platic tank near the back of the engine bay , marked 'coolant max' and 'min' that's cracked - it's void of water, but am I right in saying this doesn't do anything anyway? (thanks for the link anyway)
Just replaced mine (from Rimmer Bros - see thread mentioned). Guess it justs act as catch-tank for expansion chamber (swirl-pot). I kept mine so I could keep an eye on coolant losses which wouldn't be detected if they just vented via pipe. By the way, my old one had a jubilee clip done so tight it had actually constricted the inlet closed, meaning it definitely wasn't doing anything!!
