Mondeo Si updates

Not been here for a good while. Both Si's are now completely restored. Both with full resprays. both now on agreed value insurance with the phase 2 kitted saloon being on classic insurance with full retention.

Hope you in some way like the results. Dont see many around lately

1 for me ( the saloon ) and one for the wife ( the hatch )

Very nice. I prefer the front bumper on the hatch but I prefer the wheels and the body shape of the saloon. Two nice and rare cars that get overlooked for restoration as the banger racing morons usually get their hands on them. My wife has a MK3 Mondeo ghia saloon which I stole from someone for £100 it flew through the MOT with only one advise of a lose exhaust shield great car if a little thirsty.

Wow! Hardly saw any of these when they were new especially in that colour. Good work keeping them alive. My cousin had an Si, he took me for a spin in it and explained what close ratio gears are. I would have been about 11 or 12 - I'm 35 now

They look fantastic. I remember walking past one of these on my way to school as a lad.

I expect that the Ford Heritage Centre may well be interested in one of these (or both) if ever you wanted them to go to a good home.

I never realised you could get a saloon or a hatch Mondeo!!! I can remember sitting in one of these at the Norfolk show when I was about 6!! Cool then and cool now. Any interior pics???

Mondeo saloons were rare. Typically in Grandad spec, because that's who they were bought by. Love the look of these, Can't remember the last time I saw one. They were rare back in the day!

Very nice, remember drooling over one of these down the road from my parents house. It was a saloon in Citrine Yellow with grey chequers over the rear quater

My grandad had an ex-demo Mondeo 2.0 Si 4dr from 1993 til he replaced it with a Cougar V6 in 2001, felt years ahead at the time. Just done a reg check and I think its dead

Nice to see someone looking after them. Can't remember I last saw a mk1 on the road. The scrappage scheme was the death knell for a lot of them.

Well done on keeping these not only alive but in such great condition! I remember a drive along the edge of salisbury plain in a mk1 mondeo not long after they were released, it was a complete and utter revelation compared to what had gone before.

Love these, my father wasn't allowed one in that colour when he got his first Mondeo so he sneakily went for the V6 instead in boring blue, although I think it might have been called petrol green but that might have been mums Fiesta 1995 was long time ago.

I like that Ford have a good history of doing at least 1 brightly coloured model in their range.
