Wipers stopping mid stroke - ooh err!
Discussion
They do a sweep and stop, just wherever they feel like it. Until I press the wash button again.
They work fine on the lower intermittent/full/fast button and always park like the well behaved wipers they are!
Do they need a squirt of the magical WD40 in the motor or is it the dreaded ribbon giving bother? Anyone any clues?

Mine started doing this and progressively got worse and eventualy would stick every time you pressed the button.
I took the mechanism apart, this was a pain as I had to remove the cover which sits under window (beneeth the cover which covers battery etc). This was rivited on (the rivets hidden by the window rubber), then there was another pannel underneath which enclosed the mechanism, this was held on by two bolts fixing it to the bulkhead. The bolts are accessed through two inspection covers. Everything was also held together with healthy doses of mastic too!
I also took the motor apart, gave it a clean up and re greased all of it. they're working great now!
I'd recomend taking the motor apart first and cleaning/regreasing it, and giving it a try. Its best to avoid taking all that other stuff apart if you can!
Good Luck

Mine did this, I found that they woudl sweep until they were pointing to about 10 o'clock then stop, until I got to about 80mph then they would start again!
I used rainx and forgot about them until they got so bad that they would never start. At that point I shoved a new motor on and they were fine again.
