Just out of curiosity.

I got a ticking part of a clock in the post...courtesy of a top brand gin company -with the clock hands in a separate bit of plastic.
The mounting was supposed to symbolise when it was time to have a gin and tonic.

I hadn't bothered to open my post...I can quite happily leave it a few days before I tackle it - however, was a little concerned to hear a ticking noise...in an otherwise noise free house.

I'm sure they must have sent out thousands of these things...might be fun to watch the local news to see how many people called in the cops or the bomb squad

I guess the marketing guru who came up with that idea had over done the product sampling

IMO that's a pretty stupid thing to send out. Another SP exec trying to make the front of Campaign - though he's equally likely to make the news with that one.

Has anyone thought that it might be a nice bit of free advertising??? 6 o'clock news "Makers of ******* Gin today are formally apologising for sending out..."

Maybe it'll even pay for all the clocks they sent out!!!
