Trapped nerve in arm
Discussion
Sounds like it could be ulnar nerve related. The ulnar nerve supplies the little finger and half of the ring finger. Classically caused by compression on the nerve in the cubital tunnel (at the elbow) although can also be compressed at the wrist or related to injury further up in the arm/shoulder (brachial plexus) although I would expect other signs/symptoms.
See your GP and ask to be referred to an upper limb specialist (Plastics or Ortho) you may be sent for nerve conduction tests/scan depending on clinical examination. Cubital tunnel release does involve a surgical procedure (day case)
I hope this helps

I'm currently waiting for my second op appointment as my first op failed and made the condition worse. Just my luck!I have had problems with this when I used to go drinking. I had a habit of sitting on a stool, with my elbows resting on the table and my chin resting in my hands, for hours, watching the world go by. This was not in an English pub....
Anyway, I would find both my hands would go numb, little fingers and some of the others a bit. This would last for several days but gradually go away. I did research, and found it was caused by the nerve getting squeezed in the elbow, the 'funny bone' as we all know it.
Mine would fade after a while but it can remain trapped or squeezed due to inflammation or actual scar tissue.
Do you have any habits like resting your elbow on the table when using a keyboard or mouse, or drinking? I get the same effect when driving, if my elbow rests on the door. The door edge rests just in that gap between the two lumpy bones on my elbow.
