Apologies, I realise this is not really the correct thread, but all similar subjects seem to have ended up here one way or the other.

I have two titanium rings, one of which is a wedding ring and one is sort of an engagement ring but worn on my right hand. Anyway, I have lost a fairly significant amount of weight in the last 18 months and these are now loose to the point that I'm slightly nervous about wearing them now.

Could any of our resident jewellers or metallurgists advise whether it's feasible to resize them please? Replacement is not really something I want to consider.

My wedding ring is Ti and I have definitely been told in the past that it's not possible to resize, although I don't have the explanation why not.

I was told the same as I needed a half size wedding ring and couldn't get the larger resized

I always advise people to either avoid Ti or buy 3. One the right size, one a size bigger and another a size smaller. Ti rings can't be sized unfortunately.

Looking at it from an engineering point of view, would it be possible to make a pressed-in 'bush' to reduce the internal diameter? I can see many pitfalls in this plan, however... smile
